Cafe Morso, Pyrmont
This was actually our second time to Cafe Morso xD The best cafe ever! Natalie Tran was there on our first visit (communitychannel on youtube), we said hi after about 30 minutes of sitting there whispering to each other about whether or not it was really her 🙂
Cafe Morso is a cosy little cafe located near the water at Pyrmont which can be a bit difficult to find at first as its hidden down a wharf, its not very well known but it’s actually won a ton of awards for best breakfast and brunch cafe etc in Sydney 🙂
Did I mention how much I love poached eggs and avocado? And then how much I love salmon? Well this has both and it’s beautifully presented! (top)
Sourdough with Omelette and Sautéed Wild Mushrooms.
We also love mushrooms so this was an obvious choice, it tasted very good and the ingredients used were fresh, the earthy taste and eggs went very well together.
Salmon Ceviche and Avocado Mousse
On our second trip here we had this dish and wasn’t disappointed, they had changed the menu but the quality of the food is even better!! This was a interesting dish that turned out to be on of our favorites, I have to note that all of the Cafe Morso dishes have such nice presentation.
Smoked Pork Gruyere Risotto with Poached Egg
Although Cafe Morso has main courses we always order brunch, the risotto and poached eggs were just as good 🙂 It was a nice change from breakfast food but also delicious.
Bacon and Egg Gnocchi with Poached Egg and Truffle
I’ve never had gnocchi before but Mr C was determined to order something we hadn’t tried, I wasn’t too keen but I remembered that every dish from this place is always good so I agreed. Turns out it was awesome and I loved the taste, poached eggs and all the delicious gnocchi and bread were amazing as well.
Wagyu Beef Burger with Fries
This was on our third trip and I thought it was just going to be a plain burger, turns out I was wrong because it had a lot of interesting ingredients which made it taste so delicious! Even the fries were so crispy that I wanted to order more but I was too full 🙁 Oh well definitely next time!! Unless they add new items.
The View
So I hope you know how great this place is! It’s so quiet and cosy with such a relaxing view, I’m always happy and excited to come here for brunch with Mr C 🙂 Keep in mind this place isn’t exactly cheap but you get what you pay for in quality!
