My birthday was quite uneventful, I did however manage to visit the Lindt Chocolat Cafe for a chocolate fix at the end of the day. Instead of dinner that night I opted for a big chocolate tasting platter which I ordered on Groupon for $19 a few weeks back. When the platter first arrived I was so excited to eat everything and it looked disappointingly small, however by the end of it I was struggling to eat anymore because of a massive chocolate and sugar overload (it’s a good thing!).
I’ve visited Lindt Cafe quite a few times including their Martin Place (fave) branch but I never really ordered much aside from macarons and waffles. The tasting platter introduced me to some of their other items which I usually never order such as the chocolate truffles. The ice cream with waffles were as good as the last time I had them with the perfect amount of crunch and taste. The delice macarons while delicious don’t quite compare to the ones at Adriano or Laduree, the good though is they give you the ever popular salted caramel flavour 🙂
Lindt Hot Chocolate
The hot chocolate at Lindt Cafe was always one of my favourites in Sydney, they let you make it yourself with frothed milk and melted chocolate being served separately. I love the sweetness and creaminess of the hot chocolate and it’s always welcome in cold rainy weather just like when we visited. I’m sure most people will have visited Lindt Cafe before but definitely consider trying some of their desserts for a special occasion as it’s a little pricey for regular visits (approx 20-30pp) considering it’s just dessert.
