Kepos St Kitchen, Redfern

Kepos St Kitchen is one of the best cafes in Sydney for food and one of the only cafes in Sydney to be awarded a coveted chefs hat (two years in a row now). The small and cosy restaurant in Redfern is always bustling every day of the week with eager people lining up to get inside.

This dish is one of the popular dishes that always pop up all over social media, since I’m such a fan of sashimi I decided to order this for myself. The fresh tuna was seared to perfection and the salad the fish is served on top of is really tasty and has a slight middle eastern influence in the ingredient choice.

Mr C was really impressed with this dish because we weren’t expect too much from a sandwich. The bread was really crunchy and the fennel, drill and horseradish were surprisingly good especially with the prawns. The sandwich is difficult to eat normally so a knife and fork was used 🙂

Since it’s rare that we have the time to visit The Grounds of Alexandria it was also a nice touch that they served coffee from there. Overall our visit was very positive and we would definitely visit again to try the other dishes, nearly everything on the menu was unique and looked very enticing.
