Lid and Jar, Rhodes

Lid and Jar is a popular cafe with two busy branches in Sydney, one in Chatswood and one in Rhodes. The Rhodes branch has a nice rustic feel and a delicious choice of brunch and lunch dishes on offer.

Big Breakfast

The big breakfast here is pretty stock standard, the items you get are pretty much the norm with the exception of delicious chorizo. Overall a nice little dish with great food, well cooked and presented.

I went with the fried eggs because almost everything on the dish looked quite appealing. I loved that they included smashed avocado and haloumi, two of my favourite items on a breakfast menu which are often quite hard to find unfortunately. The egg yolk was nice and runny just how I like it.

As you can see the interior of Lid and Jar is quite well designed, I liked that the cafe has a nice casual vibe to it but the best part is that it’s so accessible right near the shopping centre and train station at Rhodes.
