Reuben Hills, Surry Hills

So many people had been talking about Reuben Hills in the past few weeks, at one point Miss K and I were about to go here but decided on El Loco instead (when we were in that Mexican phase). I’m glad to say that it was totally worth the wait as Reuben Hills is definitely a great addition to our list of fave brunch spots.

It’s a cosy little cafe located in Surry Hills which was packed when we first arrived, we managed to get seated with a wait of about 10 minutes and got straight to ordering as we were quite hungry.

The first to arrive was the Soft Baked Eggs with Jamon, Spinach, Ranchero and Rye as seen above, we ordered this because we actually missed out on the Baked Eggs at Hardware Societe, Miss K absolutely loved the eggs and jamon which were full of flavour and cooked to perfection and still runny.

The next which came immediately after was the NOT Reuben burger/sandwich which consisted of wagyu salt brisket, pickles and manchego with horseradish cream. Although I would normally not be a fan of these ingredients I found that the flavours came together quite well for a filling and interesting taste which I enjoyed.

This was a great milkshake which tasted good, filled with milk foam and a decent hit of coffee, unfortunately it wasn’t icy or cold enough for my taste.

Overall Reuben Hills is definitely worth a visit, they have a great selection of food with interesting names and descriptions. The cafe itself seems to be very popular with the younger hipster crowd and is almost always crowded with people on weekends.
