La Renaissance Patisserie, The Rocks

My birthday lunch this year was spent at a very relaxing and vintage cafe ! Mr C and I walked past this cafe a fewof times, and each time I was always captured by their pretty and colorful macarons displayed on the window.  The thumbnail was English Breakfast Tea. It was honestly my first time drinking English tea with added milk (a big noob I am). The tea was very smooth and has a strong and refreshing taste. We sat at the back in their hidden courtyard with all the vintage surroundings so I felt very cosy 🙂

Quiche Lorraine

The only thing I remembered from this dish was the salad! I have never had such a delicious salad before, it was definitely the dressing they used ! It was quite sour and tangy, and I loved it so much I hope they sell it alone! The quiche was quite creamy (that I loved and not very good for my diet :P), though it wasn’t heated enough and kind of standard.

Smoked salmon baguette with capers and cream cheese

The baguette was pretty ordinary however I did love the crunchy bread and creamy cheese and salmon. I underestimated how filling this was so I didn’t actually have the appetite to finish the quiche 🙁 This serving definitely serves 2 in my opinion, Mr C ended up finishing it and he seemed to really love it.

Creme Brulee

I did say I didn’t have the appetite to finish the quiche, but I definitely had the appetite to eat the creme brulee! I’ve been in a crazy obsession with brulees these days. This dish was cold but surprisingly tastes better than the heated ones from Bourke Street Bakery and Black Star Pastry ! The toffee on top was the highlight for me as usual! I loved how it was so crunchy and the creme beneath was so good! If only we ordered one for each of us. I would definitely order this again if I had the chance!

Le Renaissance  Patisserie is my new favourite place for creme brulee, it’s also got other food but who cares when CREME BRULEE!
