Chinese Noodle Restaurant, Haymarket

Chinese Noodle Restaurant is another eatery that Mr C and often visit while at Uni, it’s located literally right next to UTS so it’s very convenient for us. The restaurant is always packed full of people, with lines going all the way out of the store during lunchtimes and sometimes dinner, I would guess that’s because the servings are massive and the food is really good 🙂

Most dishes on their menu are under $10, the dish above is slow braised beef noodles, it really is as big as it looks. I could hardly finish this but the soup was so good that I tried my best,  the noodles are also entirely handmade in the kitchen and you can see it being done every once in a while which shows how fresh the ingredients are.

Mr C went straight for the usual dumplings, the serving came out at 16 massive sized dumplings. They were surprisingly good pork and chive dumplings (not as good as New Shanghai though) and Mr C ended up eating 11 of them even though I wanted some 🙁 Lucky for me I had the beef noodles which were my favourite dish!

Overall I think Chinese Noodle Restaurant is a good place for lunch if you’re nearby, the servings are really big if you eat a lot and the prices are so cheap. It might be a bit hard to find the place though since it’s a very small hole in the wall kind of eatery that blends in with heaps of other similar restaurants, as a tip though it’s right next to Menya! I’ll definitely be visiting again for lunch after class 🙂
