Pasticceria Papa, Haberfield

After our visit to Napoli in Bocca Mr C really wanted to get some dessert so he suggested that we visit a dessert place just up the road called Pasticceria Papa. It’s an interesting Italian cake shop and cafe which is apparently very famous for it’s ricotta cheesecake, so obviously we had to get some of that right? Well actually we ended up buying a whole cake and taking it home to eat later with family so I had to wait 🙁

The ricotta cheesecake ended up being really nice and creamy, each bite was like heaven! The cheesecake is really soft and creamy with a hard layer on the outside and a really soft ricotta cheese filling all on the inside, I definitely see why it’s such a popular cake now!

Lemon Granita

Since we didn’t end up getting a cheesecake we could eat on the spot I convinced Mr C to get a lemon granita because I remembered how good it was last time I had one. It turned out to be a really big cup of icy cold lemon which was really good, it wasn’t too sweet or too sour – exactly how I like it 🙂

I’d love to come back to Papa’s again some time because they have so many other different types of desserts, while we were lining up to get the cheesecake we noticed that the cannoli’s were really popular so perhaps try those out if you decide to visit! I definitely think that Haberfield is home to lots of awesome Italian eateries and Papa’s is definitely one of the must visits and most popular ones.
