Element 6 is a small neighborhood cafe serving up delicious brunch fare and good coffee. The little cafe is extremely busy on weekends and generally has a decent amount of people lining up to get inside.

When I saw shakshouka available on the menu I just had to order it simply because it struck me how long it’d been since I’d had baked eggs. I almost forgot how much I love the deliciously rich sauce and spices. Topping off the dish was a crispy toasted flatbread.
Salmon on rye w/ dill cream, eschallots, radish, poached egg
Since the week leading up to this weekend meal consisted of constant pizza binges and fried chicken I decided that I had to at least get one dish which was marginally healthy. The salmon on rye definitely hit the spot, I was amazed at how much salmon was served on one plate.
On the way out I noticed that the coffee beans used were actually Five Senses sourced from Melbourne which are one of my favourites. I was certainly quite surprised yet delighted to find somewhere so close to my home serving up such good coffee and food.
