Kansas City Shuffle, The Rocks
Kansas City Shuffle is a great new cafe located near the heart of the business district of Sydney CBD, just minutes from The Rocks. The space is located in a slightly obscure spot and is split into two sections, it’s a great hidden gem serving up awesome food and some of the best coffee in town (Single Origin Roasters!).
KCS style beef brisket and waffles, smoked chilli butter, poached egg
The beef brisket is definitely a highlight dish and probably the signature dish of Kansas City Shuffle. The beef just melts in your mouth and the soft waffles with smoked chilli butter with soft poached egg is just perfect.
Berkshire pork , braised lentils, baby leeks, brioche and poached egg
We decided to go with something different and settled on the berkshire pork, it was a great dish overall. The chunk of delicious pork is cooked very crispy and served on a bed of lentils and leeks.
Fried chicken sandwich, donut bun, slaw, pickles and jalapeno aioli
The fried chicken sandwich is an amazing treat to brighten up any day. The chicken is coated in an amazing crispy batter, the bun is similar to a brioche and the slaw and jalapeno aioli is very tasty.
Iced coffee
I love the coffee at Kansas City Shuffle, this was probably the best iced coffee I’ve had in a very long time.
I already visit quite regularly for the coffee but I’ll definitely be heading back to Kansas City Shuffle for a meal, it’s right next to my office which makes it very convenient. The cafe is such a hidden gem and I’m glad that we have a great place for brunch (or lunch) so close to where I work.
