Lotus Restaurant at The Galeries hit the Sydney dining scene by storm and has certainly captured my attention. I’ve visited the restaurant four times this year and I’ve very much enjoyed every single meal so far.
Steamed jade prawn dumplings
Although I was here to check out the $35 express lunch banquet menu, I really couldn’t help myself but to order at least one of the dumplings, my favourites are the juicy steamed jade prawn dumplings.
To start off the meal we were provided with two entrees to share, the spring rolls made with a fragrant king brown mushroom filling and the smoked salmon salad which was quite light and refreshing.
The main to share was a crispy skin chicken smothered in a sweet soy sauce with a hint of spiciness. The chicken is prepared to perfection with the right amount of crunch while retaining it’s juiciness.
I was so devastated to hear that the Jasmine Tea Creme Caramel was removed from the menu but when I heard that they had replaced it with a similar dessert in the form of a pannacotta I had to give it a go. Definitely a close tie between the two, both are amazing desserts.
Lotus Restaurant is definitely one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Sydney right now, it can be a little bit pricey for a Chinese restaurant but you get great service, great food and an amazing restaurant interior which has to be up there as one of my favourites (check out this post to see more pictures!).
