Coffee 1st, Dulwich Hill

Recently I visited Coffee 1st in Dulwich Hill for a catchup with a friend on a lazy Sunday. This little cafe seems to be very popular with the locals so we thought we would check it out and see what all the fuss was about.

Big Breakfast – Bacon, Roasted Tomato, Scrambled Eggs, Haloumi, Toast

I decided to go with the big breakfast because it’d been years since I’ve had one of these huge breakfasts. It’s pretty standard overall but this particular big breakfast also comes with haloumi cheese which was a bonus.

The menu is filled with a bunch of grilled sandwiches of different types, this one looked especially good because every ingredient used is something that I generally approve of. I love mushrooms, spinach, onion, avocado and pesto so what could go wrong with it?

The coffee here is great very smooth to drink and not very bitter at all, exactly how I like my coffee. I kind of regretted ordering a hot coffee when I realised how good the iced coffee looked.

I can easily see why this cafe is popular with the locals, decent reliable and unpretentious food with great coffee to match makes it a winner. If I lived around here it would probably be a place I visit on a regular basis to hang out even though the food isn’t particular unique.
